Boeta Chamberlain Bids Farewell to Bulls, Signs with Newcastle Falcons

By Lance Janari

Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria — In a major move that’s set to shake up the rugby landscape, the Bulls have officially confirmed that dynamic flyhalf Boeta Chamberlain will be leaving the franchise at the end of the 2025 Currie Cup season to join English Premiership outfit Newcastle Falcons.

The 26-year-old playmaker, known for his tactical precision and attacking flair, joined the Bulls last year after a standout tenure with the Sharks, where he racked up 59 appearances and over 150 points. Since arriving in Pretoria, Chamberlain has quickly become a fan favorite, impressing with his versatility across the backline and cool-headed performances under pressure.

A proud product of Paarl Boys’ High and a former South Africa U20 star, Chamberlain has already showcased his talents on both hemispheres, featuring in the United Rugby Championship and EPCR competitions. His prior experience in northern conditions is expected to be a major asset as he embarks on this exciting new chapter in the Gallagher Premiership.
